One of Florida’s up-and-coming sophomores, Boca Raton guard Cade Long is ready to make a big splash with the Bobcats this season.

He was sixth-man last season, and spent his offseason playing Kings of the Court, the exposure has spurred some initial interest from Division II, Division III, and NAIA programs from near and far.

Still, the 6-foot-2 guard feels that he’s under-recruited, and hopes after his big summer and a successful sophomore campaign this winter, that his recruitment will take-off.

“Honestly, I haven't had very many schools contact me directly yet. I hope to change that this year, and I feel that I am definitely under the radar at this point,” said Long.

“I think my play really started to elevate this summer, so I think I am just starting to get some attention. As far as schools that are interested, my coach said USC-Upstate has called and shown a little interest, and I have spoken to the coaches at St. Francis (IN).”

“Other schools that have contacted me are; Albion (MI), Barry, Charleston WV), Lincoln Memorial, Pfeiffer (NC), Trevecca (TN), Newbury (MA), Faulkner (AL), and Catawba (NC).”
