Here we look at a cross class reference point to see how they stack up against each other in our “Overall Prospect Rankings.” This is a look at prospects #26 – #30.
#26 PF Brandon Johnson (TF South _ 2016)
Johnson is one of the better post prospects in the senior class. He excels hitting the offensive glass with a phenomenal second jump. Contributes put backs on the offensive glass and is a shot blocking presence.
#27 SG Nate Kennell (Metamora _ 2016)
The Bradley commit is the best pure shooter in the state of Illinois. He is automatic when his feet are set and gets the slightest look at the hoop. Kennell has greatly improved his game off the bounce over the last year where he can score in more ways.
#28 SF Nick Robinson (Kenwood _ 2016)
Robinson is a big wing at 6’6” that can score. He can get points out of the post as well as scoring from the perimeter. Robinson is a solid rebounder that should project as a quality mid-major wing going forward.
#29 SG Justin Pierce (Glenbard West _ 2016)
Pierce was the single biggest stock riser regardless of class this spring and summer. The 6’6” wing can score at all three levels with ease. He gets elevation on his jumper both pulling up and as a spot up shooter. Will be a go to scorer for William & Mary for four years.
#30 PF Jordan Boyd (St. JosephÍs _ 2018)
When you look at Boyd the 6’5” four man was consistently productive for Meanstreets 15U. He has quality strength along with an angular frame to where he should continue to grow. Boyd high points rebounds, is a shot blocking presence, and runs the floor very well.
