The previews continue and the basketball season is under way in the way of practices and even scrimmages, it is time to get to each class' All-State teams.
First up is 5A where the schools are big and so is the talent. Last season saw a smaller point guard come away with the MVP though so don't be deceived. This season has an unbelievable amount of size and it will be an absolute battle to see who comes out.
MVP: Lamar Peters; Senior PG; Landry-Walker
The six foot point guard out of Landry-Walker is committed to Mississippi State where he'll bring a deadly step back and deep, deep range. This summer he showed off his play-making ability and really made those around him better for New Orleans Elite. Ben Howland is getting a dynamic guard in Peters and he's looking for this third straight state title for Landry-Walker, this time in 5A. He was the LSWA 4A MVP last season.
