Nick Robinson to Indiana St
With national signing day quickly approaching the top prospects in the state are making their decisions. Wednesday afternoon another top 10 prospect came off the board as Kenwood 2016 small forward Nick Robinson announced at his high school that he will be attending Indiana State. He told us why the Missouri Valley school was his choice.
“Indiana State was my choice because I felt that I fit best in their system.”
How does he see his game translating in their style of play?
“I like to run and score in transition. They are a team that likes to get up and down the court.”
The senior wing discussed his relationship with his future coaching staff.
“I like their coaching style and the coaching staff. I have a good relationship that we will build on over the next four years.”
Robinson is a big and physical wing that when he is locked in can flat out score! His combination of strength and athleticism make him intriguing at the next level. He can drive to the hoop and score slashing in the lane. Also works well posting his man up and making quick moves on the block against smaller defenders.
The senior checks in at #8 overall and the #2 small forward in the 2016 class. He ran with the Mac Irvin Fire on the travel team circuit. Robinson joins CBC (MO) point guard Jordan Barnes in the Sycamores recruiting class who is one of the top prospects in the state of Missouri.
Next up for the senior will be his final high school season where he will be on a loaded Kenwood squad that looks to make a run deep in March.
