Jack Lieb to Lehigh
Former Deerfield power forward and current Brewster Academy (NH) four man Jack Lieb gave his commitment to attend Lehigh on Wednesday afternoon. Lieb told us why they were his choice.
“It was the best fit. Great academics. Knew it was where I wanted to go. Good relationship all along with Coach Reed. Good connection with guys. Feel I can contribute right away. Thanks to my family, Coach Mullins, and Coach Smith.”
How does he see his game fitting in with his new program?
“I’m versatile and they like to have bigs do many things and I think I fit that. Shoot, post, ball on deck, block shots, run floor, defend, etc.”
Lieb stands at 6’9” with strength in his upper body and long arms while maintaining solid mobility. He plays physical down low finishing strong in the paint. Lieb is effective on the boards and gets to the foul line. The prep school post shows skill potential being able to hit a face up jumper and has a nice hook shot in the lane. After an injured senior season he proved he deserved a D1 scholarship with his play for the Illinois Wolves 17U on the grassroots circuit.
