As we continue our class previews, we get to one of two classes in the state that is home to two state champions from last season. Class 2A may be the toughest class to get to the state title game and is certainly one of the deepest classes with multiple 1A powers moving up and even a 3A team moving down.

State Champions

Riverside has won 3 straight 2A state titles and return seniors Malik Crowfield and Herb McGee who look to make it four in a row. 2018 PG Jared Butler will be a key contributor to a team that is always loaded with talent. They'll play a tough schedule again as well.

Madison Prep won the 1A state title last year and returns a host of seniors that includes Yuryk Lazard, William Lloyd and numerous guards. They will be powered by 2017 Josh Anderson and a trio of 2018's in Josh Leblanc, Kobe Julien, and Jharon Whitfield. Chargers' coach Jeff Jones told us, "This is probably the toughest schedule we've played since I've been here."
