Wenneborg is a highly slept on student-athlete who is very athletic and skilled that will help Horizon make a deep playoff push in division 1.
When asked about this past summer league for Horizon, Josh spoke very highly of his experience saying, “summer league went well, I averaged about 8-10 points per game playing for Coach Jerry Conner in his system. I also rebounded the ball very well and that was almost more valuable than my scoring.”
In July, Wenneborg played AAU for Arizona Power North coached by John Jensen. Power North spend the later half in July playing in California & Las Vegas and had very good experiences playing some of the “higher end” talent in the west coast.
Moving into the 2015-16 season Joshua feels that Horizon has a chance to make a really good run into the postseason. “Horizon is going to be very good I think and make a run in the state playoffs this year, we are going to surprise a lot of people this year.”
In terms of college recruitment Joshua says, “I have a couple D3 colleges looking at me. When I look for a college I am looking for a bigger school that offers a good education.”
When asked what he needs to work on, Wenneborg said he will look at improving his “vertical jumping, and overall skill set.” Joshua made the tough decision of focusing solely on basketball after playing football at Horizon for head coach Kris Heavner.
