D.K. Fox’s summer didn’t bring all the attention he had hoped from college coaches. It did bring some interest and areas to improve, and with his upcoming high school season, he feels poised to make some noise.

“I feel like I’ll actually be pretty good this season and I’m going to be somebody to watch out for,” Fox said. “I feel that it can be a statement season for our team (Northwood High School) because everyone is getting better and been practicing and playing hard.”

This hard work for Fox himself has mainly been focused on his shooting. The small forward, ranked No. 104 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 180, was told this was the biggest thing he needed to work on this summer by college coaches.

Colleges like Goshen and Bethel talked with him over the summer and told him with his strong and physical presence he could play at the next level if he improved this area of his game.

“They said I have a good physical presence and that I really just need to work on my shooting and stuff like that, but that everything else was there,” Fox said.
