Calen Schwabe was honored in the summer for baseball.  He was honored at the end of the spring for high school baseball.  He was first team all state in nine man football.  The kid is also a basketball standout for Thompson.

Heck, Caleb is so busy the rumor is that he only has time to eat at halftime of games (as a freshman he asked for pizza at the halftime of a game). As far as basketball goes he didn’t have the time others did to play grassroots spring/summer ball but he was always active.

“This summer I worked out quite a bit and worked on my individual moves quite a bit,” Schwabe.

That was in between legging out doubles and getting ready for football.  Of course there is always time for working on ball handling and the jumper.

A year ago the Thompson Tommies started well winning nine of their first eleven games before a six game February losing streak (lost eight of nine as well)  slowed them down.

“We are looking pretty good right now. I would say we have pretty high expectations but we are going to have to prove ourselves!”
