Player: Mitchell Robinson, Chalmette, 6'11 PF/C
Previous Season: Was in Florida at Pine, Chalmette struggled and missed playoffs
Why Will He Win? Mitchell Robinson looks like he'll finally play high school basketball in Louisiana after a few years of it being hinted at. He's the type of talent with the ability to play inside/out at 6'11 to completely change a team and district. If he puts the numbers up and gets Chalmette out the first round or two of the playoffs, he has a shot. Especially in his district with 3 other guys 6'8 or taller in it. He just needs to dominate nightly and take Chalmette a long ways.
Why Won't He Win? He is a relative unknown to anyone who isn't a basketball enthusiast and not sure if he'll have the time to make up that ground. There is also the issue of playing in one of the toughest districts in the state on a team that without him wouldn't likely make the playoffs (especially after their starting PG moved to Baker). If Chalmette can get to the Quarterfinals and he dominates the other big men in his district, he'll have a real shot at Mr. Basketball.
