There was speculation Layssard would leave Northwood-Lena but he made it clear he will be finishing his high school career there before heading north to a campus Lamar Odom and Cuttino Mobley once graced. When asked about Rhode Island, he simply said, “It's a perfect fit for me.”
His mom accompanied him on his visit this weekend and Mike told us she loved it which of course played a part in the decision. He'll bring a vast array offensive ability to the Rams as a pick and pop player. Layssard can score on every level and has range that extends past the three point line. Not bad for a 6'8+ forward with is strength and size.
