“I fell in love with the coaching staff, players, and campus at IUPUI,” Washington said.
The commitment makes Washington the third player in the 2016 Class to commit to a Division I program. Edmond Memorial Small Forward Kristian Doolittle (Oklahoma) and Lawton Ike Guard Darius Roy (Mercer) are the other two players who have committed to Division I programs.
The future for Washington at IUPUI is very bright. He will get a chance to play at home every year against Oral Roberts in the Summit league. The ability to play at home once a year had a role in Washington committing.
The fit is certainly there for Washington to have a brilliant career over his four years at IUPUI. Washington is a shifty, quick, 5'10″ guard that uses his crafty moves to make plays for himself and teammates.
