Johnny Beeninga was one of the first 2016 talents to figure out where he wanted to play as he accepted an offer from the Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons a few weeks ago.  Why did Johnny choose the Dragons?  There were several reasons.

“I really liked the coaches there and built a good relationship with them,” said Beeninga about his future coaching staff.

“Also the school is not too far from home so my family can see me. I really liked the players when I visited and the style the Dragons play basketball fits my play well.”

Beeninga spent his high school years playing with Net Gain Sports in the spring and summer and the experience was valuable in many different ways.

“I became tougher with the ball and improved my shot this year,” Johnny said.

“I became a smarter player. Net Gain Sports was great, I have had many memories from all the years playing that will stay with me. I enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. Also the competition was very good always.”
