Conference Preview

Editor's note: We will be profiling a number of programs and teams ahead of the always-important July schedule getting underway this weekend. We polled program directors and coaches to get their take on their team's performances up until this point. The section below was submitted by Iowa Intensity 15U coach Chris Hansen.

Record:  10-7

Best tournament finish(es):  Champions of the Gym Rats Summer Brawl, 4-1 at the Mississippi River Classic (only loss was in OT to the runner-up)

Team MVP: Brevin Hansen.  He has been consistently rock solid pushing the ball up the floor to get easy looks for others and hitting outside shots, in addition to pushing  others at practices.  If not for injuries, Zaine Leedom would have probably gotten the nod here, as he is such a difference maker with his athleticism, but he has missed close to half of our games.  Those two make a strong inside-out combo when both on the floor.

Biggest surprise:  Cade Crall.  He is new with the team this summer and he meshed in quickly with the group, and brings a little different skill set which we needed.

Best defender: Garrett Sturtz.  This has been my go-to player year after year when we need to have someone shutdown.  He is
