Terry Evans resigned at the University of Central Oklahoma this spring to have a chance to watch his son Tre Evans play more in his senior season. Turns out Terry will have a front row view to watch his son play in Edmond this fall. However, it will not be at Edmond Santa Fe, but at Edmond North.

On Tuesday night Terry accepted the Head Coach position at Edmond North. Evans has a great history of coaching in the high school ranks dating back to his days at Midwest City. In his time at Midwest City Evans won three State Championships. Terry will be coaching his son Tre for the very first time.

"It will be kind of weird coaching him for the first time," Terry said. "I have always given him pointers, but never coached him growing up."

Terry was very happy to have the chance to coach his son in his final year of high school at Edmond North. He believes the Edmond North program is top notch on and off the court.

"It is a really good feeling to have this opportunity," Terry said. "Edmond North is a great school with great academics and a talented group of players."
