Who would step up for Owasso without the two-time Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year Shake Milton? This intriguing question was quickly answered by 6’4 2016 Point Guard Kinzer Lambert at Tulsa Team Camp.

Lambert excelled, running the show for the Rams at the point. Throughout the weekend Lambert blew past defenders to get to the rim. What shocks most people when they observe Lambert for the first time, is his athleticism and ability to throw down slam-dunks at the rim. In the paint, Lambert plays extremely tough many times fighting through contact to get to the basket. 

An area Lambert has worked to improve is his three-point shot. At Tulsa the progress was significant as Lambert gashed defenses with his deadly three-point shot. In one game Lambert knocked down five three-point baskets out of seven attempts. 

The biggest hurdle for Lambert this season is learning to play without Milton, who is headed south of the Red River to play for SMU. Lambert turned into the primary ball handler for Owasso and showed promise running the show for the Rams.
