The best players in the 2024 in-state class competed under one roof this past weekend. Here is part 1 of my quick scouting notes I was able to compile.
Bidunga was the top prospect at the Kyle Guy Elite 24 Camp and his skillset was on full display here. While his jumper is still a work in progress, the improvements he has made putting the ball on the floor is making him a more dangerous player. Put on a dunking clinic, as well.
Rutland was one of the best shooters in the gym this weekend. Really enjoy watching his ability to work off the ball to free himself up for a good look. Shot the ball really well off the catch and always has his hands and feet ready for his shot.
Highlights
Houser was one of the smoother wings at the Kyle Guy Elite 24 Camp. He has incredible length around the perimeter and some of the better shooting fundamentals in the in-state 2024 class.
Harvey was arguably the most intriguing prospect that was in attendance this weekend. At 6’7, Harvey does not play like a typical post player and is someone that seems more comfortable stretching the floor than battling in the paint. He shot the deep ball well.
Highlights
Lewis may have been one of the smaller players in the gym but was also one of the better ones as well. Sees the floor extremely well and has crafty handles to get around the defense.
Highlights
The recent Northwestern commit showed off more of his overall game at the Kyle Guy Elite 24 camp. He shot the ball from deep so well like he normally does and was also pushing the tempo and attacking the rim.
Highlights
Eli Ellis Eli Ellis 5'11" | SG Plainfield | 2024 State IN might have been the toughest guard in the gym this weekend. He makes just incredible amounts of tough shots for his size and plays with a aggressive motor.
Highlights
Tornatta was the best rebounding big at the Kyle Guy elite 24 Camp this weekend. As far as scoring, he did so both off the roll and from the perimeter. Soft touch around the basket.
Highlights
Haywood was extremely lights out this entire weekend. Shot the ball extremely well off the dribble and creative in doing so.
Micah Davis Micah Davis 6'0" | PG Franklin | 2024 State #184 Nation IN was a little up and down for the majority of the weekend but was a scoring machine on Day 2. Pushed the pace a bunch as was getting easy buckets around the basket. Had one of the best posters all weekend as well.
Highlights
Walters played his “point-forward” role pretty well and was one of the better rebounders out of all the prospects here. Outside jumper still needs work.
Johnson was one of the little “unknown” players this weekend but I came away pretty impressed with this power forward. Real athletic and can stretch the floor. Lot of defensive potential as well.
Highlights
Walston was just one of the more well-rounded players at the Kyle Guy Elite 24 Camp. For his position, thought he rebounded extremely well and overall just used his versatility to make plays on both ends of the court.
