Isaiah Roby Signs with Nebraska
The most overlooked prospect in the state of Illinois has made his longtime verbal commitment permanent. Dixon 2016 small forward Isaiah Roby committed to Nebraska in October of 2014. Today he made it official and inked his national letter of intent with the Cornhuskers. Roby told us what it is like to officially join Big 10 program.
“For me it was just the fruition of a dream coming true. I’ve always worked toward playing college basketball and when I committed to such a great school like Nebraska I just couldn’t wait to make it official.”
He is one of the top 2016 prospects in the state of Illinois and might have highest ceiling of them all. The small forward who stands at 6’8” has filled out his frame with strength and that combined with his athleticism make him a very intriguing prospect. His skill level is what makes him an even higher level prospect going forward. Roby is a plus passer that has a great feel for the game. He can slash to the basket off the bounce and has shown flashes of a jumper. Defensively he has the potential to be a monster with his length both getting in passing lanes and blocking shots.
The senior is the #4 overall prospect in the state’s 2016 class and #1 small forward. He has been a mainstay with Quad City Elite throughout his career on the travel team circuit.
