What is your favorite opposing gym to play in?
I would say it would have to be Jacobs. We did the Jacobs Holiday basketball tournament for a while. It draws a lot of attention and is one of those gyms that has that aura around it. Every game there was a lot of energy and fans into it.
Who is the best player you have played against?
It would have to be the #1 player in the nation DeAndre Ayton. He is seven foot and shooting threes. Extremely versatile. He is going to be a pro. He is an NBA player.
Who is your favorite player to play against?
I can’t find one person in particular. I know a bunch of people throughout the state that are fun to play against. Class of 2017 is really loaded so anytime you go up against one of those big time guys it is fun and competitive.
Which is your favorite social media?
I am on twitter all the time. Probably more than I should be. Twitter is a lot of fun. It gets the most publicity with basketball stats and stuff like that.
What was your favorite part of the recruiting process?
Probably the official visits. Getting to hang out with the team and getting to be a student for a day. Seeing how it is. That was a lot of fun. Every visit I went on they were cool guys.
What was your least favorite part of the recruiting process?
It had to be the meeting with all the administration people on the visits. You have to meet them. It is something you have to do, but it gets kind of boring after a while. Those 10 minute talks sometimes you have to make up some stuff to talk about.
High School or Grassroots Circuit?
Personally I like playing high school more. It means more playing for my hometown school. I really wish I could be out there with them now.
Who is your favorite NBA Player?
Klay Thompson. He is real versatile. I love the catch and shoot. He can take it off the dribble too. Also guards the best player on the floor. He does it on both ends.
What team did you not play that you wish you would have?
We never played Evanston. We played them in the summer a couple times without Nojel. I always wanted to play them. We played Stevenson my freshman year in a sophomore tournament at Ridgewood, but I never played them on the varsity level.
Nike, Under Armour, or Adidas?
Nike. Nike has the best product for sure. That’s why I picked Loyola. I’m just kidding. Nike always has the best gear. I liked wearing it in the EYBL and I wear it all the time. That is what I buy.
Should top basketball prospects focus on just hoops or play other sports?
I used to play baseball. Coming into high school I just focused on basketball. It definitely helped putting all my time and effort into playing basketball. It is good to play multiple sports, but I think you will get better if you just play one.
