Andy is 6’6 prospect that can get time at the two guard spot but his size also allows him to play at the three. He is a good shooter that shoots the ball with a lot of confidence but also displayed that he can play above the rim. He might not be the most talked about player on his team due to the fact he is playing next to two high majors prospects but that does not phase him at all.
“My role is to hit shots, be an energy guy and just get everybody better. I just have to be a good player on the team and just help us win. Keon and Charles are our two main guys and best players but I think me, Brad, Jaden and Colby really pick it up when they need help.”
When asked to describe his game when he is at his best, he said, “I would say I am at my best when I am knocking down shots and playing really good defense and rebounding. If I am not hitting my shots I want to make sure I am rebounding to help my team. A combination of all that is when I am at my best.”
With his play and especially his team’s success, it has helped his recruitment.
“My recruitment process is going well, it has been picking up a lot lately. The schools that I am talking to the most are Loyola (Chicago), DePaul, Dayton, Washington State, Missouri State, Texas A&M and Tulane.”
He has taken some visits and has plans to take some more, he told us.
“I have not visited anywhere since the season started but I have been to a game at Dayton. Before the season started I visited Rutgers, Loyola (Chicago) and Missouri State. “I might go and try to see a game at Loyola (Chicago) soon, but other than that I will probably just wait until after the season.”
He broke down two of the schools that are currently recruiting him.
Dayton: “They are a great team, it is where my mom went so I have liked them since I was little. I have a lot of friends that go there. It is a great school and a really cool atmosphere.”
Loyola Chicago: “I loved it there during the visit. I really like the coaching staff. I think it is a really good situation over there and a great culture. It is a really good school and I am excited that they are recruiting me.”
