Playing for All Ohio Red on the EYBL circuit, well over half of his shot attempts came from beyond the arch. He connected on 40.8 percent of 130 3-point attempts in the most talented league that AAU basketball has to offer. His 53 3-pointers made ranked fourth in the EYBL. Corbin also scored a team-high 13.5 points per game on the circuit.
His buckets came efficiently, as he sniped off the catch or needed just one or two dribbles to get separation off a pump fake or jab step. Corbin also drilled contested shots against close-outs from beyond the arch or on pull-ups.
The pressure his jumper put on opponents was one of Red’s biggest weapons this season. On a team with various forwards and slashers, they needed Corbin to remain aggressive from deep. Whenever he caught the rock, defenders scrambled to get a hand up, often resulting in easy baskets against an unbalanced defense.
Corbin also stood-out in events other than the EYBL. For Ohio’s no. 1 17U team, he helped them capture first place finishes at the Nike Cup, Nike Summer Championship, and especially the Run N’ Slam.
He gathered offers that validate his breakout season. Specifically, Corbin was offered by Robert Morris, James Madison, Kent State, Boston, Winthrop and UNC Charlotte this season.
