Rotroff told PHOH that he’ll run with Ohio Basketball Club this spring and summer, after playing with NWO Hoops last offseason.
His two offers are from Toledo and Miami of Ohio.
Toledo offered first, in the middle of his 16U season. And then, while on a visit to Miami in September, he received his second offer.
“I’m hoping to just expand on those offers and get to some big tournaments, and get myself out there a little bit more this summer with OBC,” said Rotroff.
“The ones that are coming after me the hardest I would say are Oakland, Ball State and Bowling Green.”
A true big-man, who prides himself on his skills in the paint, Rotroff explained what it is he excels at most on the floor.
“I’m primarily a back-to-the-basket center, that’s what I’m most comfortable with. But I’ve been working on face-up and attacking from 15-feet, that’s one of my focuses,” he said. “And I like to distribute and get assists to my teammates, and also rebounding is one of my favorite things too. So I like to do a little bit of everything when I’m out there.”
With the latter third of his season ahead of him, Rotroff mentioned what his role will be moving forward for the Indians.
“We have a good team this year, so we have a lot of talented guys who play their role really well. And I’m looked at to provide scoring and rebounding. And I think I’m the third-leading scorer on the team right now,” said Rotroff.
“I pretty much just score, rebound and provide energy for the team.”
