The 5-foot-11 guard is starting to see some recruitment letters trickle in too, and should see an uptick in interest this summer with TNBA on the 17U circuit.
“I’ve been getting letters from a lot of schools. I know Ashland, Miami of Ohio and Kent State have sent a lot of letters. And it’s just letters and email right now,” said Jackson.
“I’m really just focused on school and my teammates though right now, and trying to get down to state and get this ring.”
Ohio’s 93rd-ranked 2018, Jackson says he’s comfortable playing the point guard or shooting guard, and mentioned setting his teammates up for success as a strength of his.
“I’m a strong, physical guard, and I really focus on defense a lot. I’m aggressive on the defensive end, and I get after it on the defensive end,’ said Jackson. “My offensive game is good, I can handle it well and I can get to the rim. And I’m a good passer and like to get everyone involved.”
Currently in the middle of his second season as a starting guard with the Ironmen, Jackson has one thing on his mind: a ring.
“I want to talk to my guys and help them out as much as I can. And I want to try and get a ring for all the seniors that are leaving,” said Jackson.
“I’m a leader now, my coach wants everyone to be a leader, and he has a lot of trust in me to do that.”
