Hilliard-Bradley is currently 4-1 with their only loss coming to Cincinnati Oak Hills. “We’ve started the season off pretty well. Personally, I’ve started off good. My game high is 22 points, but I’m averaging about 14 points per game and 5 assists,” said Norris.
Norris describes himself as “a winner.” “If I’m not feeling my shot, I’m good at getting others involved and impacting the game in ways other than scoring.” Norris is capable of playing both the point and off guard positions.
Braden spent the summer playing for All-Ohio’s (Red) grassroots AAU program. “We were very successful. We won a lot of tournaments, including Peach Jam. It was a great experience playing against some of the best competition in the country.” This off-season Norris worked on trying to create his jump shot off the dribble. “The teams we play against guard me tough, so I had to get better at creating my own shot as well as shots for others.”
College coaches took notice of Norris’ summer accomplishments. He currently holds offers from Binghamton, Ashland, and Northwood. Air Force, Belmont, and Liberty have also reached out. “I’m looking for a school with a winning program and the right type of people”.
Norris’ goal this season are to win the state championship; “I think our team has all the pieces to win one, but we can’t take any nights off and we have to keep getting better.”
