Offensively he is a bit raw, but relies on his athleticism and quickness around the hoop to finish. Potential D1 prospect especially if he grows more.
Allen talked about his season with one of the state’s top teams this past year.
“We had a game plan this year. We are going give everything we had on the court. Everyone was under estimating us. Thinking because all the seniors graduated we weren’t going to have a team. We proved to everyone at the Dipper.”
What did he learn as a sophomore?
“I definitely learned a lot. The seniors would always give me tips on how to get better. I just try to be a sponge and take in everything I could for next year because I know I have a big responsibility with all the seniors gone.”
He talked about his game.
“Lots and lots of energy. I like to play a mental game with my opponent. I try to get in his head. I like to size them. Against bigger people I try to face them up if they are slower than me. If I am playing someone faster than me I take them down to the post.”
Allen runs with SYF 16U.
