Korbin Farmer and Tyler Bond to Millikin
Big day on the recruiting trail for the Millikin Big Blue as they scored a pair of commitments from an inside/outside duo in Colombia power forward Korbin Farmer and Warrensburg-Latham shooting guard Tyler Bond.
At 6’7” Korbin Farmer showed some promise for Colombia when we saw him this year. He is a thin and angular big man that has nice mobility around the hoop. High points rebounds. Flashes agility around the basket and has some upside. Once he gets in a weight room watch out! The forward played with the Illinois Bears on the travel team circuit. He told us why he decided Millkin was the place for him.
“The main thing that attracted me to Millikin was the coaching staff. They are all great men committed to the growth of the program and the growth of each individual.”
How does he see his game fitting in at Millikin?
“I really like the motion offense they run. I think it will help me use my inside game as well as give me an opportunity to further develop my outside game. Hopefully I can also use my length and quickness to help out defensively as well.”
The 6’2” Tyler Bond is a talented guard that flew a bit under the radar. He has the ability to be a very solid four year contributor for his new program. The lefty has a physical body and knows how to score from the shooting guard position with a nice looking jumper and pull up game. He played with the Illinois Irish on the circuit.
Big day for Head Coach Matt Nadelhoffer on the recruiting trail. They also have top 100 prospect Danville power forward Jordan Cunningham already in the fold.
