“I think we had a big win early in the year versus Rogers and Linn Marr out of Iowa but then we dropped a few games we should’ve won easily I think,” Horn explained.
“But there were some growing (pains) being that it was so early in the year but now it’s going well and we’re starting to go on a little run here to hopefully win out which I think we can!”
Tartan has won seven of their last eight games and has a chance to be 20-4 going into a rematch with North St. Paul and then the season finale against Edina.
Individually Jordan feels has game has grown as an upperclassmen from the standout year he had as sophomore.
“I’ve really gotten stronger, faster, and I am jumping higher,” Horn said. “I think I’ve of course improved skill wise but I’m becoming a better athlete as well.
“I’ve really put time in the weight room during and before the season to work on my athleticism and it’s starting to pay off because I’m guarding the best players we match up against and I’ve been doing very well on them. I’m slowly becoming a lock down defender which I will need to bring to my game at the next level for sure.”
Horn’s first scholarship offer came from South Dakota and he has heard from several programs this winter.
“North Dakota State, South Dakota, and San Francisco talk to me the most but there’s many more but they’ve either reached out to my coach and they’ve sent me a bunch of letters. Like Cal Poly, Pepperdine, and Elon and South Dakota State have sent some stuff as well. There’s more just can’t think off the top of my head.”
For now Jordan is worried about finishing the last five games of the season and then competing in section play in a tough section that includes the Titans, North St Paul, Woodbury, Cretin-Derham Hall, and others.
